Happy Pride Month!
Happy Pride Month! At Morrison we’re always striving to make every person that walks through our doors feel welcome.
From donating, to attending rallies there are a ton of ways to give back and show your support this month. But one of the easiest is to follow some LGBTQ+ creators, influencers, and companies on social media. These accounts are not only fun to follow, but they offer invaluable resources about important issues facing the queer community. It’s more important than ever to help our LGBTQ+ friends stand up to hate. Check them out:
Blair Imani (@blairimani on TikTok) – Blair’s a fascinating Muslim historian, author, and activist who advocates for LGBTQ+ rights and Black Lives Matter. Her Smarter in Second video series are a quick and easy way to educate yourself on a variety of issues facing the queer community.
Matt Bernstein (@mattxiv on Instagram) – You may have seen Matt’s posts make their way around the internet but weren’t sure where they originated from. His posts are incredibly informative and a great resource to help you understand the current LGBTQ+ landscape in America.
Every Queer (@everyqueer on Instagram) – A curated travel guide of destinations, brands and experiences that gives the queer community the resources they need to safely see the world. Count us in for any trip they recommend!
Lunden + Olivia (@lundenandolivia on TikTok) – Two amazing (and fashion forward!) women sharing their love story. And of course, being based right outside of Atlanta makes it extra fun for us to follow along.
Dylan Mulvaney (@dylanmulvaney on TikTok) – Dylan’s an inspirational trans woman sharing her journey into “girlhood”, as she puts it. You might recognize her, as her appearance in a lot of recent advertising has sadly caused controversy, but around here we are stans!
Jonathan Van Ness (@jvn on Instagram) – Ok we know you probably already know the fabulous JVN from Queer Eye, but if you’re looking for a little extra inspiration and sunshine to grace your Instagram feed, they’re an absolute must follow.
Ariana Madix (@arianamadix on Instagram) The Vanderpump Rules drama has been a big topic of conversation around the Morrison office, so of course we had to include our bisexual queen, Ariana, on this list!
These are just a few examples of the many LGBTQ+ creators and influencers out there who are making a difference and sharing their stories. By following and supporting them, you can help elevate their voices and celebrate Pride Month. BUT DON’T FORGET, it’s important to be an ally all year long, not just this month!
